during Carnival. I have done my duty accordingly, for they had some interesting

merchant, perhaps I shall see if I can solicit business on your behalf.
Nevertheless these are unexpected, be sure to inform our patrons of their
arrival, they may be the culprits of these crimes.

Most noble patron, I have received word that there have been
a spate of new arrivals to our fair city. I shall endeavor to have tabs kept on
them and to check that they may be the villains’ responsible for our woes, or
just harmless travelers. It would appear that they will stay close ot or within
the Fondaco de Turchi with others of their kind. Eyes have been set.

Most esteemed brethren, I have done as you have asked. I
have delivered the messages dispatch to be from Tunis to my beloved Khalidah,
and set her upon the task that Set has designed for her. However the continued
presence of Meribah in the city seems to unnerve her slightly, I am not sure as
to its cause precisely. I do believe that she grows tired of all this fetching
and carrying, like some sort of loyal hound, and seeks a greater reward.
Perhaps this is the lesson you are trying teach her, patience was, perhaps
unlike some of her sibling, not one of her strong points. However she is
dedicated. I shall inform you of the results when her hands have been turned to
the task, here presence here in the city currently has turned to darker
purposes I suspect.

Brother, as the Carnival approaches one might consider as
to whom you will be accompanying to our little soiree? Any ideas on which
lovely young maiden will be gracing your arm and joining us in our modest
revelry? I have been in contact with some of these new arrivals and have
engaged the Assamite in a task of some interest to us. That old crone Caterina
has thwarted out attempts at having the Bells of our dearly beloved friends
placed in the tower of the Cathedral at Torcello, hopefully he will succeed
where money has not.

Brother, but of course I have given thought, the matter
as always has plagued me for some weeks since the feast of Christmas nothing
else has been upon my poor mind. I have however found one, rather alluring and
intriguing individual. I shall not reveal who, but will leave you to guess upon
the evening of the masquerade itself. I too have contracted some of these recent
arrivals, no doubt seeking some ample patronage from our family, into proving
their trustworthiness. As you well know that oaf Ambrosio on the Giudecca is in
possession of a tome concerning the travels of Marco Polo which I most greatly
desire. I have set them the task of retrieving it for me, as you well know Ambrosio
does despise his betters.

It seems the matter of the damaged gondoliers and skiffs
that have plagued our lagoons and canals for the past few weeks will soon be
resolved. A Greek and a Setite came to me requesting things, no doubt in the
employ of their Giovanni pay-masters. As you well know that mighty fish that I
retrieved the other week is an abomination before God and nature. It may be the
work of the Tremere or perhaps the Tzimice, either way the matter will soon be
resolved and peace will be restored to the lagoons once again.

is in her nature as a Setite and a woman to deceive. I urge you to continue

Cousin, the spate of murders that accompany the Carnival
will soon be brought to an end. I have set individuals to the task of hunting
down and capturing the instigator of these monstrous crimes. Hopefully this
year will be the last at which we must suffer such humiliations. Yet I am concerned,
no doubt you are aware of their plan and purpose in the city. Can we be sure
that this is not some ploy or bluff by Prince Narses to maneuver us into the open
before we are ready?

the Procurators and Council of 40, then we shall be ready to meet it. If not,
then these parvenus will be offered up as sacrifice, one way or the other.

It seems as though the unpleasant business of Carnival
will now be resolved. However there are greater matters afoot. It seems as
though, in their infinite wisdom, that the elders of our family have decied to enter
into league with revcent arrival in the city, including Christiano’s pet
Setite. I must confess such action do worry me. Taking up such liaisons and
business dealings with perfidious Greeks who alter the shape God in his infinite
wisdom has granted to them, and Setites who are only a step above the forces of
the Adversary himself. Even the Xavier who is of our blood has unsavory
rumours. And now we are to be joined to them through tis of blood, for some 25
years. I hope it is worth it.

the hour approaches, ensure that all is ready with the Doge……….when it comes it
must be quick and brutal……ensure that no word is to go beyond………undoubtedly
they will have informers and those that we already know of must be eliminated
just before the plan comes to………I have ensured support will be forthcoming from
other quarters…..the Giovanni will not stand for…….however the Tremere have
expressed an interest and it certainly seems that their Gargoyles………..Caterina
has departed from the city with her Lamian welp…..rats and ships. When they
enter St Marks then have them surrounded……Elysium will be the last.

Prince, I assure that
all is ready and that all plans have been put into place. There seems to be a
little trouble from the Genoese, but this should not concern us too much. I
urge you once again to consider the Crusade to Alexandria and assist the King
of Cyprus in this matter. Concessions in such a port, free of Giovanni taint
will be of great value in the coming years to complete the great work we have
already done. I shall forward you the appeals of Aimery de Tornay and William
of Paphos who represent the matter.

Well, not to my
surprise, for she is after all resourceful as she is beautiful, always a deadly
combination, successful at the tasks you have set for her. One of the Prophecies
has been found within the Church of Saint Marks, located within the very chest
that houses the relics of the Evangelist. No easy task to accomplish, many
would have fled in fear from such power or worse. This now place her on six
retrieve prophecies does it not? Surely she has proven her worth in these
matters? Likewise she has retrieved a rather old and valuable mummy from the
Armenian monastery, useful in any sorcery that might be taught to her. I would
consider it a personal favour of the highest magnitude if you were to recall
her to the safety of Tunis for the express purposes or such instruction before
what plans she has here unfold.

Cousin, tonight is
the night, by the actions of these mercenaries the fate of our family and the
city of Venice will be decided. I hope you have prayed accordingly. The Tremere
will be briefly besieged in their Chantry so that they do not play a role in
any events that come. The Prince will be accosted on the way to Elysium, all
messages have been sent out to out kin to waylay and detain as many other
Cainites as possible, lest they enter unannounced and ruin such carefully laid
plans. The sacrifices are ready if needs be. The loss of those three loyal
members of our family will be mourned greatly, but they can be replaced.

So the Tyrant has
fallen and a new Caesar has been placed upon the throne of our city. Guillermo
will prove much more co-operative than his sire that is for sure. The question
remains, when will Caesar become Augustus? The execution of the Kine, Doge
Falier and his conspirators will be arranged made done publically in the next
few days. For now, let us enjoy the peace we have wrought.
